Sk Ii Day Care, 50ml/1.7oz Whitening Source Dermdefinition for Women
Sk II Day Care, 50ml/1.7oz Whitening Source Dermdefinition for Women
A technologically advanced treatment ,Promote health of skin deep within,Boosts skin turnover & fights free radical damage,

Advantages: Evens out skin tone, reduces imperfection and redness

Disadvantages: No significant whitening effect, rather costly

The sophisticated case is of plastic material and is hygienic due to its (slightly curved) pipette design. The only issue I might raise is that it's impossible to see just how much you have left in the bottle. Also, although I have not reached that stage yet, I am slightly worried as to what I'll do when I nearly finish this product as the pipette seems to be on the short side.

This item is more or less fragrance free so those who are sensitive to scent could happily use this product. The texture of this milky coloured solution is a slightly watery serum type and is very light; not very sticky at all and also not very oily so that it will be more than suitable for those with oily or combination skin. I was also pleasantly surprised by its quick asorption - it doesn't take a minute to completely absorb, leaving the skin matter and smooth. Some people may experience drying out of their skin if only useing this whitening source so it would be advisable to use moisturising cream afterwards.

This solution certainly seem to evens out the skin tone generally and also reduces minor imperfection and redness. However, I am slightly on the skeptical side as to its whitening effect; I have used this product for a month but haven't noticed any significant brightness of skin.

Summary: No drama here but steady improvement on skin tone

SK II Facial Treatment Essence

Sk Ii Day Care, 215ml/7.2oz Facial Treatment Essence for Women

Sk Ii Day Care, 215ml/7.2oz Facial Treatment Essence for Women

This revolutionary treatment intensely regenerates your skin,Boosts cell metabolism to energize skin,Replenishes moisture & nourishment,Lightens blemishes & evens out skin tone,Prevents the appearance of wrinkles & fine lines,

Advantages: Hydrates, tones, reduces fine lines and pores

Disadvantages: The smell

This is the famous 'Miracle Water' which contains 'pitera' as its active ingredient: a yeast ferment filtrate of sake containing a natural collection of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and organic acids that supposedly aids in the restoration of skin's natural renewal process.
This is the ideal one step serum to be applied ideally after the 'Facial Treatment Clear Lotion' for best effect.
This is especially great if you have combination skin since it somehow manages to hydrate the dry areas while restraining the oily t-zones. I have also noticed reduction fine lines appearance (especially around the corners of my eyes) as well as a reduction of size of pores (which was the single most appreciated effect of this Essence). After regular usage (give it at least a month before you begin to see real improvement; this product doesn't work overnight), the skin ended up looking more evenly toned and luminous even.
The only downside perhaps could be said to be the smell as not everyone will appreciate this. However, this doesn't linger for long on the skin and shouldn't pose too much of a problem hopefully!

Summary: Definitely worth giving it a go!

Soybeans can provide safer sunscreens

Say goodbye to that petroleum based sunscreen lotion and get ready to grab a bottle of a more natural sun-protecting product, which is made of soybean oil.

Scientists have developed a new method for converting soybean oil into a highly effective bio-based sunscreen active ingredient, called feruloyl soy glycerides (FSG), which does not carry the potential health concerns of ingredients in some existing sunscreens.

The new, natural sunscreen agent could replace petroleum-derived ingredients in a variety of personal-care products.

Dr. Joseph Laszlo, who headed the research, pointed out that sales of sunscreens and other skin-care products that protect against the damaging effects of ultraviolet (UV) light have been booming.

However, concerns have arisen over certain ingredients in today's mainstay sunscreens.

"One, for instance, is a substance known as oxybenzone that is a suspected hormone disruptor that could contribute to the disruption of aquatic species reproduction. We''re trying to provide nature-inspired skin-care materials that avoid such health concerns and at the same time have fewer adverse environmental impacts,” said Laszlo.

Sunscreens are among the substances, termed "pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs)," that constitute a relatively new family of water contaminants with potential adverse health effects on wildlife and people.
Sunscreens protect against skin cancer by shielding the body from two types of UV light. One is UV-A, which absorbs deep in the skin and is linked to reactive oxygen species (ROS) formation. The other is UV-B, which causes sunburn.

Some sunscreen ingredients generate ROS when exposed to UV-A, which can damage DNA. For a long time, the sunscreen industry focused on offering UV-B protection to prevent sunburn.

The researchers have developed technology for converting soybean oil into a biobased active ingredient for sunscreen products. It involves incorporating ferulic acid, found naturally in hundreds of plants, into soybean oil.

The use of ferulic acid along with vegetable oil produces a water-resistant material capable of absorbing both UV- A and UVB light. It can also be used as an anti-aging and anti-wrinkle product, Laszlo said.

FSG is produced commercially by iSoy Technologies Corporation and used in several cosmetic products in the U.S. and Asia.

"The skin ages not just from exposure to the sun but also from air pollutants and other environmental effects. We believe that this molecule (ferulic acid) could prevent some of the damage caused by the free-radical processes involved in those environmental exposures. That's particularly important for preserving the integrity and health of skin tissue. The approach builds on knowledge that antioxidants consumed in the diet or applied topically can prevent some of that damage," said Laszlo.

"Our findings support the hypothesis that FSG can protect sensitive cellular components and reduce the impacts of skin sun exposure. Our work also demonstrates how agricultural materials can be used to craft safe and useful consumer products," he said.

Gwyneth's Home made beauty tips

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow stole a few hearts when she performed a duet with Huey Lewis singing one of Smokey Robinson's greatest hits, "Cruisin" and she captured souls with her "Just My Imagination" duet with R&B singer Babyface.

The 36 year old blonde beauty recently took to her website goop.com, which is dedicated to health and "nourishing the inner aspect," to share a few words of wisdom and beauty secrets using products that can be found in your own kitchen cabinets.

She writes: "Today I bring you some tips and wisdom from the people who trick you all into thinking I am a semi-presentable woman.

"The first thing is to find acceptance when you look in the mirror. The mind wants to focus on flaws. Ease it into remembering the beauty of who you are."

At Home Treatments

"I love Epsom salt baths to detox, revive muscles and de-puff skin. While in the bath, I use an exfoliating mitt (the kind used in Korean bath houses – you can get them at beauty supply stores, Asian markets or health food stores). The exfoliation stimulates skin and leaves it soft and bump-free. After the bath, I slather my skin with extra virgin organic coconut oil. It is sold in jars at health food stores and literally melts on your skin."

Body Scrub
1) Mix Turbinado sugar, olive oil and coursely ground coffee to soften and cleanse pores.

2) Oatmeal and honey also work as a scrub to soften skin.

3) Aloe vera juice will reduce the redness of razor burn, irritations and some rashes.

Other Skin Treatments
To reduce the puffiness of morning eyes, place either a chilled spoon (keep in freezer) on the eye area or soak cotton pads with milk and rest on the eye area.

Also, help prevent wrinkles around the mouth with daily facial exercises. Pull exaggerated “O” and “E” (as if you were saying “Eeeee…”) shapes with your mouth for 30 seconds. Purse lips right, center, and left and hold each movement for 30 seconds. Repeat. Stick your tongue out as far as you can while keeping your eyes wide.

Tension in the face and jaw can make us look older and “mean.” These exercises relax and restore facial integrity.
